Stuart Nechako Regional Economic Development Initiative Society
Working with communities to plan and implement strategies for entreprenuirialism, employment and the economy is a major role for Community Futures. The establishment of the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) project has been a step forward in this area.
Leaders of the local communities and First Nations are meeting in a forum where Mayors, Chiefs, Regional District Representatives and Community Futures are coming together to create a coordinated, collaborative capacity to respond to opportunities and challenges as well as to initiate cooperative endeavors that will benefit all of the jurisdictions and citizens of the Stuart Nechako Region.
REDI is a process that enables the commmunities to address economic development issues. Area residents can look forward to the benefits of this new initiative.
The REDI project is based on the simple, pragmatic notion that there is strength and increased capacity when they work together towards commonly-held goals for their communities.
